Trip Planning
Trip TipsBelow are some suggestions to help you plan your day at the park:
Sun Screen - Protection from the sun is very important! Use sunscreen and wear a hat if possible. Sunlight reflects off the sidewalks and water at the park and can cause sunburn even on overcast days.
Clothing - Plan for changing weather; bring warmer/cooler clothing to change into if needed. When rain is forecast, bring dry clothing or raingear. Wear comfortable shoes such as sneakers or walking shoes.
Swimwear - WildWater Adventure requires all participants to be in swim suits. Street clothes (athletic clothing, nylon shorts, jean shorts, etc.) are not permitted. Metal snaps, buttons, rivets, or zippers are not allowed.
Life Jackets and Supervision in Wave Pools and Lazy River - A life jacket is required for anyone who is less than 48" tall in bare feet or is an inexperienced or nonswimmer. Guests under 42" are required to wear life jackets and be accompanied by a responsible person. Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed as flotation devices. Life jackets are provided free of charge for guests who require one.
Lockers - There are lockers at the front entrance as well as at the entrance to the waterpark. If you plan to use the waterpark attractions, you should rent a locker at the waterpark as shirts, shorts and shoes are required in the amusement park at all times.
Meeting Place - Your group should choose a central location and arrange to check in at regular intervals, such as once an hour. Instruct small children to contact any park employee if they become lost.
Parent Swap - Guests with small children who do not meet the requirements of height restricted rides may obtain a Parent Swap pass at the Group Sales Office.
Lost Items - The vast majority of items lost by guests are hats, glasses or cell phones lost while riding a ride. Use a sports strap for glasses, and remove hats while on rides. We cannot retrieve articles lost under a ride while it is in operation. If you lose an item, Lost and Found is located at Guest Relations in the ride park, and Tube Rental in the water park.
Pets - Michigan's Adventure does not have a kennel, and pets are not allowed inside the park. We strongly suggest that guests do not bring pets to the park for any reason. Pets should never be left in a parked vehicle.
Dress Code - Shirts, shoes and shorts/pants are required in the amusement park at all times. To maintain the family atmosphere at Michigan's Adventure, a dress code is enforced. Please do not wear clothing that is generally considered offensive (profanity, suggestive pictures, thong swimwear, etc.). We will ask you to remove the offensive garment and replace it with something more appropriate. Guests are prohibited from wearing anything which conceals the guest's true identity.
