Rock the Coast Announces First Headliner- Tenth Avenue North leads Saturday lineup

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013

Organizers of the newly revamped “Rock the Coast” event unveiled the first artist for 2013 with the announcement today that Tenth Avenue North would headline the Saturday, May 25 show. Festival Director Kevin Newton indicated that other artist signings were being finalized and more announcements could be expected very soon. “Fans have been very excited ever since the news of Rock the Coast returning and there has been a lot of anticipation of who the bands will be”, Newton said. “A top flight band like Tenth Avenue North is a great start to what is shaping up to be an awesome lineup!”

Tenth Avenue North is one of Christian music’s rising stars and they will be making their first Rock the Coast appearance, after headlining Christian festivals across North America last summer. “Tenth Avenue North is an awesome young band with a great following, a ton of hit songs and a true calling to deliver a message through their music”, Newton said. “This is a group of extremely talented musicians who really focus on connecting with their fans and delivering a live experience that is fun, uplifting, moving and meaningful”. The groups early hits, such as By Your Side and You are More, have been followed up with anthems like Strong Enough to Save and their current radio hit Losing. Their Deck the Halls music video for the holidays is also a fun, fan favorite and shows a bit of the band’s lighter side.

Rock the Coast will be a two day event on May 24 and 25, 2013, at the start of the Memorial Day Weekend. The event is held at Michigan’s Adventure Amusement Park in Muskegon, Michigan’s largest amusement park and a family friendly atmosphere that, according to Newton, is a perfect match with a Christian concert. “Michigan’s Adventure provides an ideal setting for Rock the Coast”, he commented. “Tickets include two full days in the park, the water park will be open on Saturday and then we offer full concerts both nights as well; it is a really terrific package of action and entertainment for the whole family”.

Early Bird tickets are just $44.95 for the Full Event (two days park admission plus two concerts), now through Feb. 28th or while 1500 last. Group pricing is also available. Tickets are sold at the Michigan’s Adventure park office or online at

Rock the Coast is produced by Alive on the Lakeshore and Michigan’s Adventure. Alive on the Lakeshore also produces the annual Unity Christian Music Festival that is held each August. For more information on either event, please visit
