Rock the Coast Friday Lineup Unveiled!

Thursday, January 17th, 2013

Audio Adrenaline and Disciple to Headline May 24th show

Muskegon-Event organizers announced the entire Friday night lineup today for Rock the Coast. The Friday, May 24th show will feature the groups Audio Adrenaline and Disciple. Festival Director Kevin Newton unveiled the entire 5 band lineup with these two big names. “Audio Adrenaline is on their first tour after being reintroduced with Kevin Max (formerly of DC Talk) as their new lead singer. This will be their first West Michigan appearance”, Newton said. The groups’ first single “Kings and Queens” has become a huge hit as it promotes the bands’ long time work with orphans in Haiti and encourages Christians to reach out “to the least of these”. The Rock the Coast set promises to contain both classic Audio A hits plus all new music from their upcoming album release.

Disciple is a hard rock Christian band that is known for amazing live performances, great songwriting and a passion for their generation. According to lead singer Kevin Young, “God saves us so we can shine his light on someone else……and we get a little loud in the process”.  Their newest album, titled “Oh God, Save Us All” is meant to reach out to kids who struggle with life’s issues and need to know that He cares.

Rock the Coast/2013 will be a two day event and will be held on Memorial Day weekend for the first time. The event will take place Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, with park entry both days and Christian concerts both nights, with each night featuring 5 bands. . “Having two full nights of music has allowed us to bring in many more bands and make the weekend really special”, Newton commented. “We are able to have a wide variety of great bands. Our goal is to take Rock the Coast to a whole new level as a top notch, affordable, family friendly start to the summer season!”

Opening the Friday show is Michigan rapper NF. “NF performed at Unity Festival last summer and was really popular”, Newton commented. “This is an extremely talented kid with an extremely real story to tell and that’s why he connects so well to the audience.”
Performing second in the lineup and acting as the Emcee for the entire weekend is West Michigan native George Moss. “George has also been with us at Unity and we are so grateful that it worked out for him to join us at Rock the Coast”, Newton added. “George is a multi talented performer, an experience emcee and tours all over the country. His style of rap and hip-hop is high energy and will really get the crowd going!”

Jason Dunn will make his first solo RTC appearance after playing the event as the lead singer of the group Hawk Nelson in the past. “2012 marks a new chapter for Jason and he has been in high demand as a solo artist. We are thrilled to have him with us again”, Newton said.

The park, which features over 60 rides and attractions, will be open from 10 am-7 pm on Friday and 11 am-7 pm Saturday. The water park will be open from Noon -6pm on Saturday, weather permitting. The concerts each evening are planned to begin at 5 pm and conclude around 10 pm. Newton shared that he expects to announce the remaining Saturday night “Rock the Coast” acts in the coming weeks. “We have some offers out that we can’t wait to announce; it is shaping up to be a great lineup”, Newton said.

“Early Bird” tickets, priced at just $44.99 are available until February 28, or when 1500 tickets are sold. Once the “Early Bird” deals are done, the regular price for the two day event is just $54.99, with groups of 15 or more at $49.99 each. “Everyone is familiar with the famous “Two parks for the price of One” value at Michigan’s Adventure”, Newton said. “Getting two days plus two concerts at these prices is an amazing deal!”

Tickets are available at or at the Michigan’s Adventure park office.
