Some Helpful Hints To Plan Your Day

Shirts, shoes and shorts/pants are required in the amusement park at all times. To maintain the family atmosphere at Michigan's Adventure, a dress code is enforced. Please do not wear clothing that is generally considered offensive (profanity, suggestive pictures, thong swimwear, etc.). We will ask you to remove the offensive garment and replace it with something more appropriate. Guests are prohibited from wearing anything which conceals the guest's true identity.
There are lockers at the front entrance as well as at the entrance to the waterpark. If you plan to use the waterpark attractions, you should rent a locker at the waterpark as shirts, shorts and shoes are required in the amusement park at all times. Waterpark lockers close at waterpark closing time. Lockers rentals allow unlimited use during the day.
Guests with small children who do not meet the requirements of height restricted rides may obtain a Parent Swap pass at the Group Sales Office.
Michigan's Adventure does not have a kennel, and pets are not allowed inside the park. We strongly suggest that guests do not bring pets to the park for any reason. Pets should never be left in a parked vehicle.
Outside food, beverages or coolers are not allowed in the park. Special diet/need items may be kept in a small cooler, which must be tagged at the Group Sales Office at the entrance to the park. Grilling/alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere at the Park, including the parking lot.
Michigan's Adventure does not close due to poor weather. On rainy days, some rides may close for safety reasons, and will be re-opened as soon as safely possible. If lightning is overhead, all rides will close until the lightning passes. The park remains open, and the rides will re-open as soon as the lightning has passed and it is safe to do so.

The waterpark does not open on days when the air temperature does not reach 65 degrees within 2 hours of opening. Temperature does not affect the operation of the amusement park.

Rain checks or refunds are not available.
Guests are free to leave and re-enter the park the same day. When leaving, please get a handstamp at the front entrance. Please note that ticket stubs or receipts are not valid for re-admission. Please note that we do not validate parking passes; there is a fee to re-enter the parking lot if you leave it.
ATMs are available in the following locations:
  • Guest Relations just inside the Front Entrance
  • Wildwater Outfitter's at the entrance to the waterpark
Picture taking is stricly prohibited on most attractions, including all roller coasters.

Information For Guests With Disabilities

At Michigan's Adventure we are proud of our reputation for accommodating guests with disabilities through our Ride Admission Policy. To continue to provide equal access for all guests, be aware that all guests with mobility impairments or ASD will now receive a Ride Boarding Pass with wait times. The Ride Boarding Pass Program allows guests to access rides at specified times via the exit ramp in order to avoid crowds and waiting in the regular queue lines.

Guests with disabilities should stop by Group Sales located at the Front Gate upon arrival at the park. A brochure (Guest Assistance Guide) detailing the many special accommodations and our Ride Admissions Policy is available from Group Sales / Guest Relations.

You may be asking yourself whether Michigan's Adventure is appropriate for guests with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or whether your loved one on the spectrum will be able to handle the theme park experience. Michigan's Adventure has taken steps to be well-prepared to welcome and provide accommodations for all types of disabilities, including autism and related disorders.

A limited supply of wheelchairs and electric convenience vehicles (ECV) are available for rental at the Guest Relations on the right just inside the Front Gate. However, since wheelchairs and ECVs are rented on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance, we urge guests to bring their own wheelchair.
Michigan's Adventure's Ride Admission Policy and Alternate Access Entrances are designed to help you safely experience our facilities. Rides with Alternate Access designations will make boarding easier. If you require the use of a Alternate Access Entrance to enter a ride, please visit Group Sales or Guest Relations to obtain a Ride Admission Slip.

Service animals are welcome at Michigan’s Adventure. A service animal is defined as a dog or miniature pony that has been individually trained to perform tasks for a person with disabilities. We may ask you what task your service animal performs for you. Service animals must be controlled with a “restraining device” at all times while on our property. There is a limit of one service animal per guest. Due to the nature of most rides, service animals must remain with a non-riding member of your party. We are not permitted to take control of your service animal. Service animals are not permitted in water attractions, wet decks, wading pools, or lazy rivers. A relief area is located adjacent to the midway near the Flying Trapeze. Please stop by Guest Relations for more information.

Guests with casts and braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace will not fit inside the ride unit or where it will present a hazard to the guest or others. Guests with full arm (elbow restricted) and full leg (knee restricted) casts or braces are restricted from most rides and water slides at Michigan's Adventure. We suggest you delay your visit until the cast is removed. Please refer to each ride admission policy for further information regarding casts and braces.
Guests with any type of prosthesis should not ride unless they can ensure the device is properly secured and will remain in place during the ride. If there is any concern of the prosthesis becoming dislodged during the ride, guests should visit Guest Relations for assistance. Guests with prosthetic limbs must consult with Guest Relations prior to waiting in line or riding.
