General Park Questions

Due to maintenance and other circumstances, certain rides and attractions may not be available during your visit.

Shirts, shoes and shorts/pants are required in the amusement park at all times. To maintain the family atmosphere at Michigan's Adventure, a dress code is enforced. Please do not wear clothing that is generally considered offensive (profanity, suggestive pictures, thong swimwear, etc.). We will ask you to remove the offensive garment and replace it with something more appropriate. Guests are prohibited from wearing anything which conceals the guest's true identity.

There are lockers at the front entrance as well as at the entrance to the waterpark. If you plan to use the waterpark attractions, you should rent a locker at the waterpark as shirts, shorts and shoes are required in the amusement park at all times. Locker rentals allow unlimited use during the day.

Guests with small children who do not meet the requirements of height restricted rides may obtain a Parent Swap pass at the Group Sales Office.

Michigan's Adventure does not have a kennel, and pets are not allowed inside the park. We strongly suggest that guests do not bring pets to the park for any reason. Pets should never be left in a parked vehicle.

Outside food, beverages or coolers are not allowed in the park. Special diet/need items may be kept in a small cooler, which must be tagged at the Group Sales Office at the entrance to the park. Grilling/alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere at the Park, including the parking lot.

Michigan's Adventure does not close due to poor weather. On rainy days, some rides may close for safety reasons, and will be re-opened as soon as safely possible. If lightning is overhead, all rides will close until the lightning passes. The park remains open, and the rides will re-open as soon as the lightning has passed and it is safe to do so.

The waterpark does not open on days when the air temperature does not reach 65 degrees within 2 hours of opening. Temperature does not affect the operation of the amusement park.

Rain checks or refunds are not available.

Guests who re-enter the park will need to go through security screening upon re-entering. When leaving, please get a re-entry receipt from associate at the exit gate.  Used tickets are not valid for re-entry. Please note that we do not validate parking passes; there is a fee to re-enter the parking lot if you leave it.

ATMs are available in the following locations:

  • Snoopy Boutique just inside the front entrance
  • Wildwater Outfitter's at the entrance to the waterpark

While cameras are welcome in the park, picture taking is stricly prohibited on most attractions, including all roller coasters.

Hand-held infants are restricted from most rides. Hand-held infants may be taken on the chariots of the Carousel and the Timbertown Railway. In the waterpark hand-held infants may be held by a supervising companion in the wave pools and the Lazy River (must also wear an infant life jacket), the Lagoon, and in Half Pint Paradise.

For the convenience of all our guests, smoking of any kind, including vapor and e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the parking lot. Smoking is not permitted inside Michigan's Adventure. Thank you for your cooperation.

All drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are prohibited at (in) all Cedar Fair parks, including Michigan's Adventure, and any unauthorized drone(s) observed over Michigan's Adventure will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

The safety of our guests and associates is our number one priority, and we have implemented several enhanced security procedures at the front gate. As part of the process:

  • Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day. 
  • All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. will be examined prior to entering.
  • Sharp objects (including pocket knives and metal chains), firearms, or other items that could be considered a weapon are strictly prohibited and should be left at home or secured in your vehicle.

We use a variety of methods in securing our parks including uniformed security personnel and video surveillance monitoring.

Michigan's Adventure does not tolerate guests who fight and/or harass other guests while on our property. People who engage this behavior are subject to being ejected and potentially banned from the park, and may be subject to arrest by local police.

We are strict and thorough in the steps we take and the processes we use to keep our properties safe and promote a healthy environment. To protect our guests and associates and prevent the spread of illness, we employ rigorous sanitation standards and robust cleaning procedures, including:

  • Extensive training for associates on maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace and environment for our guests;
  • Appropriate personal protective clothing and gear for associates who are assigned for cleaning duties;
  • Specified intervals for frequent cleaning and disinfection of targeted areas throughout the day;
  • Procedures for cleaning and disinfection of areas throughout the day and where illness has been suspected or reported;
  • Quick response to spills, trash and other situations;
  • Daily sanitation procedures, for everything from bathroom faucets and sinks to kitchen and dining surfaces, benches and trash cans;
  • Daily cleaning and “wash down” of outdoors locations, including walkways and queue lines;
  • Guest and associate first aid locations to assist with minor health issues.

We maintain close relationships with local, state, national, and international public health authorities, and take their guidance when additional preventive measures are needed.

Single Meal Deal
Enjoy an entree, side and a fountain drink during your next visit. 

All Day Dining
Guests may choose between All Day Dining for one day or two days and will receive a wristband at any of the participating locations and enjoy an entree and side as often as every 90 minutes! Drinks are not included. However, you may purchase a Souvenir Bottle online at our best price.  

All Season Dining
When you purchase an All Season Dining Plan, it will automatically be uploaded to your season pass. Simply present your pass at any participating locations throughout the park and enjoy lunch and dinner (with only a 4 hour interval between meals) every time you visit. Drinks are not included but we offer a Souvenir Bottle and Season Pass Drink Plan for unlimited free refills all season. 

Single Meal Deal
Simply redeem your voucher at any participating location for an entree, side, and a drink.

All Day Dining Plan
Guests with All Day Dining voucher will receive a wristband at any of the participating locations. Enjoy an entree and side as often as every 90 minutes throughout the day. Drinks are not included. However, we offer a Souvenir Bottle online at the best price.

All Season Dining
Guests with All Season Dining will automatically have it included on their Season Pass. Simply present your season pass at any of the participating locations throughout the park and enjoy lunch and dinner (with only a 4 hour interval between meals) every time you visit. Drinks are not included but we offer a Souvenir Bottle and Season Pass Drink Plan for unlimited free refills all season.

All Season Dining added to a Season Pass is only valid for redemption exclusively by the registered passholder. Once All Season Dining is linked to a Season Pass, it is non-transferable. In order for benefits to be redeemed, the Season Pass must be used for admission on the same date.

All Day Dining may be purchased in the park at any participating dining location. Or, save yourself some time and purchase your All Day Dining Plan online before you go to the park.

All Season Dining
Add the All Season Dining Plan onto your Season Pass and stay fueled for the fun all season long. All Season Dining includes lunch and dinner at participating locations throughout the park every time you visit during the season.

The Single Meal Deal includes a fountain drink. 

While the All Day and All Season Dining Plans do not include drinks, you may consider buying a Souvenir Bottle online. With a Souvenir Bottle, you can enjoy free refills all day long on your first visit and $1 (taxes included) refills for the rest of the season. Or, get unlimited free refills all season long with the All Season Souvenir Bottle or Season Pass Drink Plan. Enjoy refreshing Coca-Cola beverages including Minute Maid Lemonade, Powerade and Gold Peak Raspberry Iced Tea all day or all season. The choice is yours!

As a Platinum Passholder, the All Season Dining Plan and All Season Souvenir Bottle are valid at any Cedar Fair park within the U.S. and Canada. Simply present your Platinum Pass at any participating food locations during your park visit to enjoy lunch and dinner (with only a 4 hour interval time between meals) and free refills with your Souvenir Bottle. All Season Dining is NOT valid at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels or Schlitterbahn Galveston.

The All Season Souvenir Bottle and Season Pass Drink Plan are two separate programs. You will not be able to use your Season Pass card if you forget your bottle.

Yes, you will be given the option at the park to redeem your voucher for an All Season Souvenir Bottle or the new Season Pass Drink Plan which can be added onto your Season Pass card.

You can purchase an All Season Souvenir Bottle or the Season Pass Drink Plan online or at the park.

Visit Guest Services at the park, and for a $2.99 exchange fee, you can be switched over to the bottle free program. The barcode on your bottle will be deactivated, and you can start to use your Season Pass immediately for your refills.

You may refill as often as you like with a time window of 15 minutes between refills.

Yes, if you would like to refill the same disposable paper cup after the 15 minute waiting period, bring it back to a beverage location and an associate can help you.

Visit Guest Services at the park and for a $2.99 replacement charge your bottle can be replaced. The barcode on the lost/stolen bottle will be deactivated so that it can no longer be used, and you can start to use your new bottle immediately. Deactivation and replacement can only be done if the All Season Souvenir Bottle has been added to a valid Season Pass, and can only be requested by the pass holder. Souvenir bottles not associated to a Season Pass cannot be deactivated and replaced.

If you lose your Season Pass, Guest Services can help you replace it (for a nominal fee) and activate the Season Pass Drink Plan on your new pass.

If you forget your Season Pass, please stop at the Group Sales/Season Pass Office. With proper identification a temporary pass will be issued to you. The temporary pass is only valid for that day and will have the Season Pass Drink Plan attached.

The Season Pass Drink Plan can be added to all Season Pass types, except Halloween Haunt passes (where offered).

Season Pass Drink Plan added to a Season Pass is only valid for redemption exclusively by the registered passholder. Once Season Pass Drink Plan is linked to a Season Pass, it is non-transferable. In order for benefits to be redeemed, the Season Pass must be used for admission on the same date. 

Yes, present your All Season Souvenir Bottle or your Season Pass if you have the Season Pass Drink Plan at any Cedar Fair park to enjoy the same refill benefits.

You can use these on any public operating day, and the programs are valid for the regular season, as well as Halloween events and WinterFest (where offered).
