Thunderbolt

Bolts of lightning piercing the sky. Loud claps of thunder echoing in your ears. Combine the sensations of both of these natural elements and you might – just might – experience the supernatural excitement that comes from a ride on the Thunderbolt at Michigan’s Adventure. As you and a friend climb into one of the cars -- suspended just inches from the ride’s floor by a large, mechanical arm – you know something wild is about to happen. Then the rock ‘n’ roll music comes on the speakers, lights flash and the ride moves forward. Your speed increases, around and around, up and down on the peaks and valleys of the circular track until you think you just can’t go any faster. And then, you go faster still. We just hope you’re close friends with the person riding with you, because the intense centrifugal force will get you up close and personal with him or her anyway.
